Technical Climbing
The two highest peaks, Batian (5,199 m) and Nelion (5,188 m), offer world-class traditional (trad) climbing.
Routes: The most popular options are the North Face Standard Route on Batian and the South Face Standard Route, with significant exposure and high-altitude conditions.
Logistics: Climbs usually span 7 to 8 days to allow for safe acclimatisation before and during the multi-pitch rock climbing on the peaks of Mt. Kenya, ranging from 2-day acclimatisation hikes to 7-day technical climbs.
